It has been quite awhile since posting anything here. Life and new passions have been keeping me busy. A new passion is watching crow behaviour and now most of my photography is crow based. With that, I’ve started a new WordPress site called ‘Getting to Know the Crows’.

Looming over Discovery Island in Oak Bay –
What challenges me is to be able to convey to the birds that when I photograph them,
I will not harm them – I only want to observe them, record their beauty and move on. Such is the convenience of a zoom lens. Patience, staying still, talking softly and respecting their space often yields such treasures. I like to think that this Song Sparrow felt safe enough today with me taking it’s photo.
