Blue Heron Fledgling

The birds and flowers keep presenting themselves so I keep taking photos of them – hopefully not too many all in a row! The Blue Heron chicks have fledged and they’re in different parts of Victoria. The first photo is from Beacon Hill Park and the second photo is from here in Oak Bay, both taken today. The fledglings are humorous to watch as they get accustomed to being out of the nest.

Barn Swallow

Low tide was at 8:26 am today which was a perfect time to catch the marine birds feeding. An added bonus this morning were the Barn Swallows diving and gliding by as well. This barn swallow was brave enough to land close to me for a rest. Lucky me!
